Land of the Living?

Once upon a time there was a family that bought a house with an atrocity of a back yard. The dirt was rocky and very uneven. The weeds had grown to heights you wouldn't believe. And don't get started on the cats that never departed from leaving their presents all over the yard!
The weeds were dug and pulled and torn. The rocks were piled upon piles and piles. The tractor was broken from all of the work, twice just to tell them it needed a rest. Finally the day came that the yard looked halfway like a yard again. Still not finished the family pressed on, from morning to lunch and then on to dusk.
Suddenly school reared it's ugly head, and the parents had to send the children to bed. "No more rocks!" They cheered with glee, until mother informed them rocks were for the weekend. With a groan and a sigh they went off to bed, with visions of playing dancing through their heads.
Dirty and dusty there were showers galore. The house needed cleaning so bad their jaws hit the floor.
You wouldn't believe the sight unless you saw it. But when it's all through you will definately applaud it!
