January Changes

The week after we got home from my parents the girls started back to school on Monday. We looked at a house on Tuesday. Talked to the bank on Wednesday. Got pre-approved on Thursday, and put an offer in on Friday. It was quite the week.
The house is a short sale so it could take a long time. The owners have accepted our offer and it has been sent to the bank to look at and accept/counter.
The house is fairly good sized with an unfinished basement that Mark is already makes plans for. The lot is just shy of half an acre and will give us plenty of room for our children to go crazy.
We don't want to get excited about it because it could still fall through. It is the whole don't count your chickens before they hatch thing. We felt really good about it though and still feel like we are doing the right thing. Then Satan will creep in and nag us about something and we get discouraged for a bit. Like the lien the County has on the house. We made an addendum to our offer that they (the sellers) had to take care of it to our satisfaction before closing. They have signed it and now we feel a lot more protected.
It has been a whirlwind month and now it is the hurry up and wait process.
